BETA MAX Hoists played a vital role in the work that Scaffold Resource completed on the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse in May of this year.  Scaffold Resource was contracted to provide access to the entire lighthouse for restoration work. They accomplished this by utilizing multiple Maxial Track Hoists for erecting the scaffold and installing a MC2000PMB Personnel Hoist.

Here are some interesting facts about this impressive project:

  • It took 60 days to build the scaffold from bottom to top with 10 people.
  • No work was completed on the outside scaffolding when winds were over 25 mph, nor when there was more than medium rainfall.
  • Over 10,000 pieces of material were used.

Maxial Track Hoists are the industry’s most widely used special purpose hoist for scaffold E&D, and it falls under the ANSI/ASSP A10.5 Safety Requirements for Material Hoists.
